Self employed Medical secretary assistance needed for running a small but growing practice for a Plastic surgeon.

This would suit an experienced medical secretary with Plastics and Cosmetic surgery experience who currently has other work as a Medical secretary and would like to fit this in around it.

We are based in Fleet, Hampshire. Ideally you would be able to travel to the office for training and support when needed.

Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Secretary with Plastic surgery/Cosmetic surgery experience to join our growing team and hit the ground running. The ideal candidate will have strong evidence of working for a plastics consultant or cosmetics consultant in a fast paced role.

This role involves managing patient records, scheduling appointments, raising invoices, chasing up payment and facilitating communication between patients and a variety of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities



Manage patient appointments, phone calls, ensuring efficient scheduling and minimising wait times. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with data protection regulations. Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, responding to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. Assist in the preparation of medical documents and reports as needed. Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient care and follow-up appointments. Process patient registrations payment information accurately. Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and general practice organisation.

Experience



Proven experience in a medical secretary role, with specifically plastic surgery or cosmetic surgery knowledge. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer service. Proficiency in using office software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic health record systems is desirable. A keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
