We are looking to recruit a full time Medical Secretary to join our team.
The role will be 37.5 hours per week.
Applicants must be able to work Monday to Friday 10.00 to 18.00

Job Role & Purpose
To provide an efficient audio, copy and word processing typing service for clinicians as required. This includes typing of letters, reports, patient referrals, minutes, memorandums etc in an accurate and timely manner.
Key Duties & Responsibilities (not exhaustive)
To generate E-referral paperwork and assist in the tracking of urgent referrals to ensure completed within strict time frames, e.g. two week wait referrals/X-ray requests etc.
To assist the Senior Management Team with general clerical duties as requested.
To retrieve medical records and assist with the completion of medical reports.
To receive incoming and complete outgoing telephone calls/emails in order to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with staff of all levels and ensuring the Practice retains a professional manner when liaising with any external contacts.
To maintain the clinical system in an accurate and secure manner.
To assist with the gathering of statistics and reporting as required.
To help provide support/cover for members of the secretarial team when required due to sickness/annual leave.

Strong communication at all levels.
Medical Secretary experience is essential (preferably within General Practice) as is knowledge of SystmOne. ERS knowledge is desirable. However, candidates with a strong portfolio of alternative medical secretarial experience may also be considered.
