Job Description

We are looking for two experienced Medicines Management Pharmacy Assistants to join our team. There are two positions available - one based at Danesbury rehab ward (Welwyn), and one based at Herts and Essex rehab ward (Bishops Stortford). We are offering 22.5 hours per week, ideally covering Monday to Friday.



The post holder will work closely with a ward-based Pharmacist and the ward nursing team to assist in the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients within the Trust through the provision of a safe, efficient, and cost-effective medicines management programme.



The successful applicant will need to be self-motivated and able to work on their own, whilst also integrating into a well-established team. You will have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills together with a good working knowledge of hospital pharmacy and primary care. The successful candidate must have experience of working in a clinical setting with a multidisciplinary team. Computer literacy is essential and experience with SystmOne is desirable. The role will also be supported by a full training package, according to needs.

In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High-Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary as per Agenda for Change terms.



A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
