Summary



As an Medicines Optimization Project Manager at NHS Professionals, you will play a pivotal role in capacity and the capability to the Medicines Optimisation team, working directly to the Assistant Director of Medicines Optimisation.

Responsibilities



Lead team meetings to communicate updates, gather feedback, and foster collaboration. Oversee product development initiatives to ensure they meet user needs and organizational goals. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of optimization efforts. Lead the creation and maintenance of the Medicines Optimisation work programme/ plan liaising with colleagues (e.g. Heads of) to; log all key actions and projects, identifying interdependencies across projects/ functions, investigate the causes of any variance from target/ plan, supporting proactive risk management (identifying, recording, mitigating, tracking), and proactively contribute to the implementation of solutions. Lead on and deliver specific projects, requiring an understanding of the business and high degree of detailed review and collation of information relative to initiatives for Medicines Optimisation. Work with scheme and project leads to ensure that the necessary documentation is completed, including the scheme templates, underpinning business cases, equality impact assessments (EQIA) and avoiding unnecessary duplication.

Requirements



Specialist knowledge acquired through degree and post graduate level or equivalent level of experience at a similar level in this area. A good understanding of the NHS and wider public sector. Experience with project management software and methodologies such as Waterfall or Agile. Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is a plus. Demonstrated team management skills with a focus on collaboration and results-driven outcomes.
