Responsibility for ensuring the smooth running and efficiency of functions.
Liaising with the events tea, attending Operational meetings and actioning accordingly.
MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EVENTS/HOTEL FUNCTION EXPERIENCE
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To ensure that all function areas and bars are set accordingly in a timely manner.
2. To look ahead at function sheets and make sure that all relevant stock is ordered.
3. To attend weekly ops meetings and staff accordingly in your absence.
4. To complete rotas in a timely manner and relay to the rest of the team.
5. To management Christmas casual employment surplus and train accordingly.
6. Ordering Christmas stock in a timely manner and training events staff on set up.
7. Collating crockery, cutlery & glassware and ordering where necessary.
8. Keep Fourth updated, making sure all absences are recorded and monitoring holiday requests.
9. To check and audit all available equipment for the use of functions.
10. To ensure staff are trained on the use of function equipment.
11. To communicate with the sales office and chefs in a professional manner.
12. To make sure all bars and function rooms are correctly closed down after each function and paperwork signed.
13. To make sure all stock is accounted for and returned to cellar after each function and signed back in.
14. To ensure that guests receive prompt and efficient service from our professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff.
15. To ensure personal uniform is correct and to a high standard and to ensure all staff are correctly dressed for shift and uniform is a high standard.
16. To conform to all rules and regulations outlined in the staff handbook in addition to those established by the General Manager.
17. To abide by Health and Safety Regulations and COSHH Regulations as required by law.
18. To deal with all guests efficiently, accurately and politely, using names where possible.
19. Any other reasonable requests.
Qualifications
Strong time management and organizational skills
Proven ability to upsell services and products
Experience in restaurant and hotel environments
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated expertise in hospitality management
