Overall Purpose of the Role
The MEICA Manager is responsible for overseeing
all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation activities
across multiple projects. The main objective is ensuring projects are delivered safely, to the required quality, on time, and within budget, while meeting client expectations.
Ensure designs are buildable and practical.
Introduce value?engineering solutions.
Provide technical leadership for mechanical, electrical, and control systems design.
Coordinate design work and manage design-related interdependencies.
Team & Stakeholder Management
Lead a small MEICA team working alongside civil and delivery teams.
Build and maintain capacity and capability within the MEICA team.
Manage contractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
Maintain strong communication with senior management, designers, clients, and project teams.
Project Delivery & Governance
Lead both simple and complex MEICA projects from setup to completion.
Manage operational and financial targets, programme schedules, and supply chain performance.
Own project-related activities, ensuring delivery against time, cost, and quality standards.
Ensure health & safety compliance, including electrical safety processes.
Oversee commissioning plans, inspection/test plans, and quality documentation.

Deliver quality outputs that enable programme outcomes.
Identify resource requirements and allocate appropriately.
Promote safe systems of work and the use of innovative methods and materials.
Support tender and work-winning activities.
Solve problems collaboratively with stakeholders.
Person RequirementsEssential
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
Methodical and focused on quality and customer needs.
Background as a MEICA Project Manager delivering multiple projects of varied scale.
Desirable
Degree or equivalent technical qualifications (HND/HNC).
APM membership or certification (or equivalent experience).

SMSTS / SSSTS
CSCS card
First Aid (optional)
5?day SMSTS training.
