Member Relations Executive

Job Description

1. Overview



The Member Relations Executive post holder will drive membership growth by developing and delivering events, managing membership activities and supporting the membership networks, elevating AREG vision and mission across industry, and promoting energy transition, new opportunities, partnerships, and AREG sponsor opportunities.

2. Key Responsibilities



2.1 Member Relations Activities:



Identify potential new members through market research, networking, cross referrals, and industry events.

Develop and maintain relationships with members to foster long-term partnerships.

Onboard new members highlight member benefits and sponsorship opportunities

Respond to member enquiries, provide exceptional customer service, address concerns and where appropriate discuss potential solutions or refer on to an appropriate person.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of member interactions and activities

2.2 Event Organisation and Representation



Contribute to the annual events plan

Lead on the planning, organisation, and delivery of the events plan including AREG networks, seminars and conferences.

Represent AREG at meetings, events, and conferences.

Deliver presentations to stakeholders and prospective members and sponsors that promote benefits of being associated with AREG

2.3 Marketing Activities



Design and produce graphics for use across social media, AREG website, and member communications (e.g. bulletins and newsletters), using tools such as Canva.

Develop and manage a social media calendar to ensure regular and strategic posting across platforms.

Write and publish social media content for LinkedIn and X, including updates on AREG events, membership news, and relevant industry developments.

Research and compile content for a weekly member bulletin, highlighting upcoming opportunities, funding calls, and key industry news.

Design and coordinate a quarterly newsletter featuring AREG updates, event highlights, and significant opportunities and trends across the energy sector.

2.4 Website

:

Update website in line with event updates and member news

Update and create webpages in line with AREG activities

Liaise with our external web support for ongoing website maintenance

2.5 Funding:



Build relationships with potential funders and sponsors, presenting AREG's value proposition and impact.

Support the Business Development Manager in identifying and securing sponsorship for AREG's activities.

Support the Business Development Manager and partners in preparation and delivery of compelling proposals for funding, and sponsorships.

2.6 General Administration for Membership Group:



Provide administrative support to the membership, assist with tasks such as member renewals, onboarding, and maintaining membership databases.

Provide accurate and timely invoice information is passed to administration for further processing.

Collaborate with the finance team to resolve any discrepancies or payment issues and ensure timely receipt of payments.

3. Qualifications and Skills:/Work Experience



An appropriate degree preferred but not essential where the candidate can demonstrate relevant work experience in the following:

Degree in Business, Events Management, Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Proven experience in event planning and management.

Knowledge and understanding of the renewable energy industry and energy transition.

Experience of marketing and market trends and key players.

Excellent networking, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Attention to detail with excellent organisational, time management skills, proactive approach to achieving tasks and objectives in good time.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to work independently, part of a team, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities.

Prior experience in membership/account management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 26,409.00-28,624.00 per year
