About Up World

Up World is a friendly space for ambitious marketers who want to achieve big things and help others do the same. We do a lot in the World:

Big Up Club is an invite-only community designed for start-up Marketing Directors, Heads of Marketing, and CMOs to learn, grow, and thrive from the best UK marketing minds. We launched the community last February to a very selective group and have managed new members carefully since then. We currently have 60 members. Running Big Up Club would be your role. Up Club provides exclusive access to industry leaders, expert mentorship, and world-class training to sharpen your skills and to stay ahead. The Marketing Accelerator is a 12-week programme meticulously designed for mid-level marketers to grow leadership skills, marketing ability and ultimately to accelerate their careers.

We are

really

ambitious.

Our vision is to have lively, buzzing communities in cities all across the UK and the world, and to continue to create a service so useful that our members simply can't do their jobs without it. Sure, we're not saving the world, but we have seen the amazing impact our work has. We create a space that's desperately needed for individuals who without us don't have any structured personal development, can't reach their full potential and often find professional life very lonely.

About the role

The Membership & Partnerships Manager is responsible for 2x really crucial parts of Up World.

####

Full ownership of Big Up Club:

You'll lead the charge on building a thriving, exciting development program for Marketing Directors and CMOs that the members rave about. You'll be the one shaping the experience, deepening relationships, and driving growth.

Own membership growth and retention, turning interest into loyalty and members into superfans Design and deliver a joyful, high-value community experience with personal touches that matter Balance personal engagement with smart automation - we want scale without sacrificing soul Host online and IRL events with energy and warmth (this role needs confidence and presence) Use tools and systems to ensure the day-to-day hums, and the big moments land with impact Constantly listen to our members and optimise the experience based on feedback and insights

Delivery of the Big Up Club members experience will be supported by a Community Exec who will report into Liv (our Community Manager who runs Up Club), but will have a dotted line into you.

####

Drive our partnerships program:

You'll lead our partnership programme, working with companies who want to support Up World and be part of what we're building.

Manage and grow our commercial partnerships, from outreach through to delivery Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with brands and partners Handle our partnerships pipeline like a pro, tracking conversations, close deals, and report clearly Deliver excellent account management - make partners feel seen, valued and excited to renew Collaborate with our wider team to create campaigns, content and activations with real value

In time, we imagine that delivery of the partnerships program will be handed to a Partnerships Manager. This role could report into you in the future, depending on the growth of both partnerships and Big Up Club - and your performance!

You'll report into Jonny, who is Head of Up World.

About you

The perfect person for this role will be...

A natural host and relationship builder - extroverted, warm, confident leading events and brilliant at turning first chats into long-term connections Commercially sharp and results-driven - you get excited by targets, know how to build and close a sales pipeline, and instinctively spot and act on growth opportunities Strategic and proactive - you don't just get things done, you build smart plans for how we do it better, bigger, and more efficiently Confident with automation and systems - you're always looking for clever ways to scale, and know your way around tools like Zapier & HubSpot (we need to know you're very quick to learn!) Fluent in the marketing world - you understand our audience, speak their language, and know what gets cut-through Self-starting and energised by ownership - you take initiative, move quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first team Deeply invested in what we're building - you care about our mission, want to help others grow, and are excited to help shape a community people truly love

Your experience:

You've been a Community Manager (not a social media community manager, but one where members pay!) You might also have B2B marketing experience

The deal

This role is London based.

We have no set place of work and operate as a remote-first company, but you'll have access to co-working spaces and we expect you to be at events often, meeting members for coffee at their offices & spending time with partners.

This is a full time role, starting asap. (We would consider 4x days per week.)

Salary: 37-50k

Our salary bands are bands and we make offers across the bands depending on experience (the human brain always assumes the top end of the band!).

What we can give in return

Co-working pass at Second Home, Huckletree or with &Co 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Monthly working-from-home allowance to be spent on coffee, co-working or gym membership Our commitment to your development. Birthday off (extra holiday!) Enhanced paternity/maternity leave & pay Unlimited coaching with MoreHappi Full Up World Membership

We believe you shouldn't have to wait until you start a job to see the benefits. Our handbook is open here.
