We're looking for a confident, people-focused Membership Sales Executive to join The Business Growth Network on a part-time basis. This role is perfect if you're returning to work and want flexibility, variety, and the chance to earn bonuses alongside a steady part-time income.
You'll be speaking to business owners who've already shown an interest by attending our events. Your job is to build relationships, follow up thoughtfully, and help them decide whether membership is right for them. No hard selling, no scripts - just good conversations and consistent follow-up.
Working pattern
12 hours a week

Three to fours days
a week (hours agreed around school-friendly timings)
Some flexibility is essential
Attendance at
local events once every two weeks
(Once a month event from 09.30am - 11.30am and once a month 5.30pm - 7.30pm and once a quarter 12.30pm - 3pm, events planned well in advance)
What you'll be doing
Weekly focus
Joining a weekly online team meeting with the Director
Updating the team on conversations, follow-ups and progress
Keeping a clear and realistic sales pipeline
Attend six month team conferences
Hybrid working
Membership sales
Calling and emailing visitors who have attended recent events
Explaining the benefits of membership in a friendly, practical way
Sending out membership information and answering questions
Encouraging visitors to attend online sessions after face-to-face events
Building genuine rapport rather than rushing decisions
Ongoing activity
Keeping the CRM up to date with notes, follow-ups and outcomes
Contacting visitors booked for upcoming events
Collecting feedback and insights that help improve future events
Representing the business professionally at our events and occasional external events
Targets (realistic and supported)
10 new membership sales per month
Around new 15 visitor per event
500 per month
in new membership sales
2,000 per month
in exhibition, sponsorship or ticket sales
Total monthly revenue target:
2,500
Quarterly target:
7,500
Pay, commission and bonuses
5% commission on all revenue received (Up to 1000 Bonus Per Quarter)
Commission paid
quarterly, one month in arrears
Additional bonuses
available for strong performance or standout results
Clear tracking - you'll always know where you stand
Locations covered
Cheltenham, Bath, Bristol, Oxford, Manchester and Cardiff (You'll typically focus on one main area and need to be based in the area)
What we're looking for
Warm, confident communication skills - especially on the phone
Someone organised, reliable and comfortable following things through
Experience in sales, events or memberships is helpful but not essential
A calm, professional approach with good attention to detail
Comfortable using basic systems to log notes and follow-ups

You'll report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with the wider Membership, Marketing and Events team.
