We are looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable
Memory Advisor
to join our dedicated Dementia Support Team. In this vital role, you'll support individuals with memory concerns, those with a diagnosis of dementia, and their families and carers--helping them to navigate what can be a confusing and difficult journey.
About the Role
As a Memory Advisor, you will:
Provide tailored information, advice, and emotional support to individuals affected by memory problems or dementia.
Assist individuals in accessing suitable services and support, including health, social care, and community resources.
Deliver one-to-one support sessions, both in person and over the phone.
Work closely with professionals, families, and carers to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Support awareness events and community outreach to improve understanding of dementia.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Experience in a support, advisory, or care-based role (experience in dementia services is desirable but not essential).
Excellent communication and listening skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
Strong organisational and IT skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
Ability to problem solve
A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
