At The Manor House, we provide 24-hour specialist nursing care for adults with complex physical and mental health needs. We believe that every person deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported and our Mental Health Care Assistants play a vital role in making that happen.

Full-time and part-time hours available (12-44 hours)

Days, Nights and Bank, 12-hour shifts

Pension

Paid DBS

Uniform Provided

5.6 Weeks Annual Leave (Based on a full-time contract)


What the role involves




As part of our dedicated care team, you'll:


Provide specialist, person-centred support for residents with mental health conditions.

Encourage independence and positive choices in daily routines.

Follow individualised care plans with empathy and attention to detail.

Recognise changes in mental health and escalate concerns to clinical leads.

Champion dignity, respect, and inclusivity in every interaction.

Support with meals, nutrition, and hydration where needed.

Help residents engage socially and take part in meaningful activities.

Create a safe, comfortable, and positive home environment.

About you




We're looking for someone with:

At least 6 months' experience supporting individuals with mental health needs (ideally in a care setting) NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (preferred, not essential) Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to build trust A compassionate nature and commitment to making a difference A team-focused approach, ensuring residents always receive the best care
