The post holder will have the opportunity to develop group work, as well as individual intervention skills.
Slough is the second largest town in Berkshire and is within the Greater London Urban Area. The A4, M4, M40 and M25 are all easily accessible making travel to and from very straightforward.
The post holder will provide high quality treatments, care co-ordination, long term casework, and will be involved in recovery focused treatment interventions. This requires working collaboratively with other disciplines and other teams in the locality to ensure a comprehensive service is provided to the local and diverse population. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside a range of professionals including doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, support workers, and our administration team.
To work as a Mental Health Nurse in the Community Mental Health Team. This is a multi-disciplinary team, with a single manager operating in a locality where there is a high degree of integration between all mental health services.
The postholder will be responsible for the formulation, execution, and evaluation of a care plan for a designated number of patients who may present with significant complexities. Individual plans will be developed in discussion with the patient and informed by the wider team using the principles of recovery.
As an experienced member of the team the post holder will manage and supervise junior staff and actively participate in quality assurance and education programmes.
