Broadacres Housing Association is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our Support Services team as Mental Health Support Worker Bank staff. As a Mental Health Support Worker Bank, you will have the opportunity to provide crucial support to individuals who are experiencing mental health challenges.
Responsibilities:
Providing emotional support and encouragement to individuals in crisis or distress
Assisting individuals with daily living tasks such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
Implementing care plans and therapeutic interventions as directed by a qualified mental health professional
Facilitating group activities and social outings to promote socialization and community engagement
Monitoring individuals' mental health status and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff member
Maintaining accurate and detailed records of interactions with individuals and the services provided
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a mental health setting is preferred but not required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
A compassionate and empathetic attitude towards individuals with mental health challenges
A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
