We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental health support worker to join our team in Basildon, Essex. In this role, you will do more than just provide care--you will have access to fully funded training, a 24/7 support line and the tools you need to grow your skills and build a lasting career in the health and social care sector

Role Overview: We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our team in providing 24/7 support to adult with mental health illness living in our supported living services.

This is a full-time role on a 4 days or 3 days long day or night /sleep -in shift weekly. You will play a vital role in ensuring consistent care, safety and quality of life for the individuals you support.

Key Responsibilities



Provide high-quality care and support to clients with complex needs in supported living accommodation or their own home. Support with personal care when necessary. Support clients in accessing community resources, activities, and social events. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and families to create and implement care plans. Maintain accurate records and reports on client progress and health status. Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times. Support to administer medication. Help with meal preparation and feeding, catering to specific dietary needs as outlined in support plans. Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress, ensuring effective communication with healthcare professionals. Engage with patients to promote mental and emotional well-being through conversation and companionship. Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement individualized support plans tailored to each patient's needs.

Skills



Previous experience in a role within health and social care sector (at least 6 months within the UK). Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and colleagues. Ability to understand and follow care plans meticulously while demonstrating empathy and patience. Proficiency in IT skills for maintaining electronic health records and documentation. . A caring attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others is essential for success in this role. Intention to pursue NVQs at Levels 2, 3 and 5, this will be fully funded by us
