Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. This role involves providing direct support to clients in various settings, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence.

Duties

Provide personalized care and support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Implement behavior management strategies and crisis intervention techniques as needed. Conduct intake assessments and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collect data on client progress and participate in the development of individualized care plans. Support clients in social skills development and community integration activities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support services. Maintain a safe environment by recognizing potential hazards and implementing appropriate safety measures.

Experience

Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting are essential. A background in social work or behavioral health will be advantageous for this role.
