You will be working alongside a highly skilled team including a Psychologist and Behaviour Analyst. You will be able to muti-task with a positive and supportive style to reflect the Venture People ethos of "therapeutic optimism" within the service. You will be skilled in rapport building and happy to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
This role is incredibly rewarding, assisting clients with daily living providing support with planning (meals & shopping for example), attending appointments and community re-engagement. We do not offer personal care and work with clients facing a mental health diagnosis, often with complex needs and/or trauma backgrounds.

Key Duties
To facilitate the delivery of a service which follows a person-centred ethos and promotes independence.
To complete dynamic risk assessments and support plans.
Promote wellbeing and appropriately manage risk.
Ensure adherence to company and national policies and procedures.
To work flexibly as required by the service; this may require some working outside of your normal hours to provide consistent support.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience, ideally Mental Health/LD/Neurodiverse support.
Ability to positively address and challenge inappropriate or negative behaviours and attitudes.
Experience of using therapeutic de-escalation and/or crisis intervention techniques.
Able to respond to changes in an individual's needs and meet deadlines.
To encourage and manage participation and involvement from the people we support.
Computer literate, with confidence in using all Microsoft office programmes
Desired Skills:
It would be desirable for you to have had experience supporting a person(s) with a mental health condition and within a community-based service.
