Make a lasting impact by building meaningful relationships.
At

, we believe exceptional care starts with genuine connections. We're looking for Support Workers within Mental Health Services who are committed to making a real difference - people who truly care and want to build long-term partnerships with those they support.
This isn't just a job; it's an opportunity to empower an individual with PTSD to live safe, fulfilled lives. You'll help clients achieve personal goals, explore new hobbies, and enjoy trips into the community - all while creating relationships that bring lasting satisfaction for both you and them.
About the Role
You'll be part of an
8:1 care team
, supporting one individual with
two nurses and six support workers
.
This person lives with
Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
,
developmental language disorder
, and enjoys sensory activities. They thrive on
structure and consistency
, and value self-care, make-up, music, and getting their hair done.
They love spending time in the community, going to the cinema, and eating out. Night-time can be challenging due to past trauma, so a calm and reassuring approach is essential.
Our shared goal
is to help them feel safe and enhance their quality of life through compassionate, person-centred care.
What You'll Do
Deliver person-centred care within the client's own home.
Maintain safety whilst making positive risk decisions.
Enrich life and promote independence.
Build trust and long-term relationships that make every day meaningful.
What We Offer
We value our support workers and provide a benefits package designed to help you thrive:
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
- confidential wellbeing support.
Travel and mileage expenses
- reimbursed for your shifts.
Exceptional pay rates
- among the highest in the UK.
Bespoke training and in person competency development
- keep growing in your career.
What We're Looking For
We want passionate, resilient professionals who can commit to delivering care without exception. To join our team, you'll need:
12 months UK-based experience
in a community setting.
Confidence in maintaining risk and using physical intervention where required.
Confidence in utilising PBS standards within services.
Strong personal values and ethical standards.
Dedication, commitment and stability.
A genuine desire to build lasting relationships and make a positive impact.
Why Choose TCS?
Joining Thornbury means joining a compassionate team that values people - not just as clients, but as individuals. You'll enjoy job satisfaction, and the chance to make a difference that lasts.
