Job Description

We are seeking a male only service, covered under the Equalities Act 2010, Part 7 Paragraph 26.

An exciting opportunity has become available to work within our growing Onward Service, providing support to a client with complex, high-level needs.

You will be working 2-to-1 with our complex needs client, providing support in line with recovery goals identified in partnership with them.

We recognise that the client is at the heart of our service and each package is tailored specifically to their needs and with their input. We also understand that recovery is subjective and approach all clients with therapeutic optimism.

Many of our staff have experience in or enthusiasm for providing support to mental health clients and enjoy working for us due to:

Having an interest in mental health and/or wanting to gain clinical experience. The diversity of the role. Wanting job satisfaction and a rewarding career. Working in the community to enable people to live their best lives and create independence. Wanting to work for a people-centred and supportive organisation.
Does this resonate with you? Then we would love to hear from you.

We provide bespoke, community-based support packages to individuals with complex needs, including a mental health diagnosis and autism spectrum disorder. Our clients may have spent an extended period in hospital or another setting.

Your role as a Mental Health Support Worker will involve delivering quality support that enables people to achieve their outcomes by using and developing person-centred support plans. You will be able to manage risks and vulnerabilities whilst promoting social inclusion and maximising the opportunities for the people you support.

If you have an interest in developing your skills as a Mental Health Support Worker or have previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Care Worker, Recovery Worker, or in mental health, apply today!

This role is incredibly rewarding; assisting clients with daily living and providing support with planning (meals & shopping for example), attending appointments and community re-engagement. We do not offer personal care and work only with clients with a mental health diagnosis, often with complex needs and/or trauma backgrounds.
