Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other behavioral health challenges. This role is crucial in providing support, guidance, and care to enhance the quality of life for our clients. The Support Worker will engage in various activities aimed at promoting independence and well-being while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities



Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other behavioral health needs. Assist clients in daily living activities, including personal care and medication administration. Implement behavior management strategies and crisis intervention techniques as needed. Conduct data collection and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel. Facilitate social interactions and community engagement for clients. Provide support for individuals dealing with PTSD or addiction issues through compassionate counseling techniques. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.

Requirements



Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of crisis management, behavior management, and applied behavior analysis techniques. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records, and documentation practices. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines. Previous experience in social work or special education is a plus. Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
