Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to eight individuals with various mental health needs in our care home based in Weston-Super-Mare.

This role involves working closely with adults, supporting their daily activities, and promoting their independence in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in making a positive difference in people's lives and possess relevant experience or a willingness to learn.

Duties

Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as personal care (low level) Cooking/meal preparation for the 8 individuals that live in the care home Administer medication as prescribed, following all health and safety protocols Cleaning/ housekeeping around the home Monitor and record behavioural progress and health status accurately Provide emotional support and encouragement to promote confidence and independence Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and educational staff to ensure holistic care plans are followed

Requirements

Experience working with adults with mental health is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including some evenings and weekends Relevant qualifications or certifications in healthcare, social care, or related fields are beneficial but not mandatory

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
