SEMH Teaching Assistant - Worthing

Location: Worthing, West Sussex


Hours: 08:30 AM - 03:30 PM, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only


Start Date: ASAP


Salary: 89 per day PAYE, temp to perm


We're seeking a resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist team in Worthing. You'll support behaviour, emotional regulation and learning in a calm, structured environment.


Key Responsibilities:


o Support pupils with SEMH needs using positive behaviour strategies.


o Deliver small group interventions focused on social skills and emotional regulation.


o Support transitions and individual targets in line with EHCPs or behaviour plans.


o Record progress and contribute to multidisciplinary planning.





Skills & Experience / What We're Looking For:


o Experience with SEMH preferred; calmness under pressure essential.


o Transferable skills: communication, de-escalation, empathy, adaptability.


o Knowledge of safeguarding and behaviour strategies.
