The Vales have an exciting opportunity for Mental Healthcare Support Workers to join their team.
The Vales provides high-dependency rehabilitation to females who are detained under the Mental Health Act for treatment of their mental illness and/or disorder.
The Vales provides psychological interventions for patients with both mental health illnesses and personality disorders who require psychological therapies and who present with symptoms of complex trauma.
As a Mental Healthcare Support Worker on the Vales, you would be expected to support recovery, promote independence and facilitate achievement of goals whilst working alongside the nursing team and wider multidisciplinary team, which consists of occupational therapists, social workers, speciality doctors and consultants.
The successful candidate will be provided with a local induction on commencement of their role, which will include boundary training and knowledge around clinical processors and policies.
There is monthly clinical supervision provided to all staff to aid development, knowledge and support.
Regular management supervision will be provided and opportunities for continuing professional development within LPFT.

Main duties of the job
Under the supervision of a registered nurse, participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of high-quality care within a ward environment through involvement in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
