We are recruiting for an individual with a sports background to support our new Empower Programme. Empower is a structured programme designed for learners in year 6, 7 and 8, who experience difficulties with emotional regulation and behaviour. Through engaging activities, group discussions, hands-on learning and sports. Students will build essential life skills that support their emotional and social development. As a Mentor you will be working alongside the Tutor working with small groups, supporting both classroom and practical sports sessions at our onsite facilities
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
To support the delivery of daily activities to promote and enhance learner engagement.
Implement positive behavioural strategies.
Deliver practical sports based sessions
Support learners to realise their academic potential
Supporting pupils within a mentoring capacity both in and out of the classroom environment
You'll take an active role in prompting and guiding discussions
Qualification/Experience
Proven experience in sports coaching and mentoring
Teaching qualification (equivalent to PTTLS certification) or relevant experience
Experience working with challenging behaviour
Experience working with young people within a sport, education, or youth work setting
Candidates will be subject to a DBS enhanced check
Working hours are Monday and Tuesday, 9.30-2.30pm (Term time only)

Pay: 15.00 per hour
