We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mentor to provide guidance and support to children in various educational settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in toddler care, special education, and mentoring, with a strong ability to educate and engage young learners. This role involves working closely with children, helping them develop essential skills in subjects such as Maths, physical education, and speech therapy. The Mentor will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive learning environment for preschool-aged children.
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to children, focusing on their individual learning needs.
Assist in the development of educational plans tailored to each child's strengths and areas for improvement.
Educate children in foundational subjects, including Maths and physical education, using engaging teaching methods.
Facilitate tutoring sessions that promote academic growth and confidence in young learners.
Implement strategies for speech therapy as needed to support communication development.
Create a nurturing and safe environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to children and their families.
Requirements
Proven experience working with children, particularly in toddler care or preschool settings.
Background in special education or related fields is highly desirable.
Strong skills in educating young learners, particularly in Maths and physical education.
Experience with tutoring or mentoring roles is preferred.
Knowledge of speech therapy techniques is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children and adults alike.
A patient, empathetic approach towards teaching and mentoring young learners.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
