Dodd Group (South) Ltd are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work as part of the wider Operational delivery team. The candidate for this role must be someone who is both driven and astute in being able understand MEP delivery processes onsite, with clear proven experience in the role relating to successfully delivered projects, on time.

The work sectors covered from this office range from MOD, Commercial, Industrial, education, residential / care to many others. We work across Hampshire and our catchment area is Brighton to Weymouth to Oxford, we avoid working in London.

This role is based on having a clear capability and knowledge of working on Design and Build projects and pre-designed projects day to day, along with other onsite / operational administration tasks.

Suitability

This role is suited to an advanced Project Engineer or currently a Project Manager in a business delivering works around 2m to 6m per project. Working in a design and build environment or in an environment suitable to the job spec, who has proven themselves in their capacity within a business who specialises in MEP installation / delivery for projects which align to our business model. Specifically commercial contracting and not facility maintenance.

This role could also suit a competent candidate who wishes to now take the next step and transition from an onsite supervisor / engineer to a management role.

We are looking for candidates with adequate experience for managing the day-to-day onsite delivery and associated tasks on live projects, including onsite labour management and client engagement.

This role is fundamentally suited to someone who is looking for a long-term career move

Basic / Key tasks (but not limited to);

Working in our busy Operational department you will work as a team to effectively deliver the project you are allocated to, not only being responsible for the delivery of the works onsite but doing this whilst keeping strict attention to quality, health and safety and compliance.

Effectively manage the onsite labour and supervision for the project setting targets / goals and ensuring they are completed effectively, safely and correctly Complete progress reports for up-line submittal Manage all day-to-day tasks onsite and staff Work alongside our Commercial Department and provide technical assistance on variances / changes to the project where requested Act as onsite liaison with our client Attend DTM's with our clients and contractors Proactively engineer our projects alongside our design appointments and Pre-Construction team Procure materials and equipment throughout our buying process [where requested] Remain responsible for the timely delivery of the tasks allocated to you within the department Complete KPI's for sub-contractors and consultants assessing their performance Creation and compliance to MEP Construction programmes Project document control, accessing and managing this process across projects to all subcontractors and contractors on the project Provide general in business support to other departments as directed

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Proficient use of Microsoft office programmes Intermediate Mathematic ability. Intermediate English and grammar ability. Experience in the role; Commercial Projects / Education and Residential. Experience in the Mechanical & Electrical Industry. SMSTS [in date] Mechanical or Electrical bias holding the relevant C&G Qualifications Experience in Projects between 2m-6m Client facing / Confident and well presented Good admin and IT skill set Correct CSCS Skill card for position sort and black management card
