About the role
Chemist4Uare seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Merchandiser to help shapeand deliver a best-in-class online pharmacy experience. In this role, you'll beresponsible for ensuring our products are accurately listed, visuallyappealing, and optimally merchandised.
Success in this positionrequires a strong eye for detail, a solid understanding of the online customerjourney, and a collaborative approach when working with buying and marketing.Reporting into the Merchandising Manager the ideal candidate will be able tobalance data-driven decision making with strategic thinking to supportChemist4Us business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Content Management
Accurately list and maintain new and existing products and stock, ensuring timely uploads to support seasonality and new product launches.
Ensure the accurate and compliant listing of prescription-only medications for our online clinic, adhering strictly to regulatory guidelines and internal procedures. This includes supporting NHS-linked services and ensuring all relevant areas of the website meet the required standards.
Merchandising & Trading
Merchandise our extensive categories in line with seasonal, promotional, and marketing strategies.
Ensure products are correctly categorised and easily navigated through filters, search, and menu structures.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Liaise with buying, marketing and content to ensure alignment on product focus, pricing, margin, promotions, and brand messaging.
Work closely with our in-house pharmacists to ensure compliance with regulatory standards when listing controlled medicines.
Market & Competitor Analysis
Conduct regular competitor analysis to benchmark pricing, product assortment, merchandising techniques, and promotional strategies.
Identify opportunities to enhance product range, improve user experience, and drive conversion.
Stay informed on the latest trends, innovations, and developments in medicine and healthcare.
Customer Experience Focus
Ensure all merchandising decisions are made with the customer journey in mind, focusing on a seamless path to purchase.
Optimise cross-sells, upsells, and bundling opportunities to increase average order value and basket size.
About You
Previous experience in an e-commerce or digital merchandising (preferably in healthcare but not essential).
Strong understanding of online merchandising best practices and customer behaviour.
Comfortable working with Magento and / or WordPress.
Experience with Google Analytics, Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI is desired.
Commercially minded with good numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Knowledge of healthcare/pharmacy products and relevant regulations (desirable but not essential).
