Job Overview:

The Merchandising Data Analyst provides the analysis, reporting, and data management that support senior managers in making informed decisions about the product range, pricing, and merchandising strategy. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate product data, monitoring sales performance, and producing regular insight reports that highlight risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Insight & Reporting

Analyse customer behaviour, competitor activity, and wider market trends to highlight potential product gaps and opportunities. Prepare and deliver monthly sales and margin performance reports. Present findings in a clear, actionable format to support senior managers in decision-making. Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required by the business.

Product Data Management

Maintain and update product information within the PIM system. Ensure all product data is accurate, consistent, and accessible for internal stakeholders and external customers. Support the availability of product data required for customers to sell effectively.

Digital Merchandising Support

Maintain accurate and effective merchandising of products on the Shopify website. Ensure products are correctly categorised, discoverable, and presented to customers online.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Marketing, Commercial, IT, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Sales teams to ensure data and reporting needs are met. Provide relevant product performance insight to support departmental objectives and decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in a merchandising, data, or product analyst role, ideally in a B2B environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data clearly. Proficiency in Excel and/or BI tools; familiarity with PIM systems and Shopify desirable. High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Commercial awareness, particularly relating to product performance, pricing, and margin. Effective communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior managers and colleagues across departments.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday No Weekends, No Bank Holidays and Christmas shut down
