Merchant Analyst

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Want to be part of a UK hub, in a global business that is scaling rapidly, evolving fast and radically changing the decades-old delivery universe? If so, read on, as we're looking for a

Merchant Analyst

to join our

Commercial

team!

Our mission? To switch up the status quo and become the UK's leading out-of-home business. With a fast-growing network of thousands of smart lockers, hundreds of leading retail partners and the launch of our transformative Send service, we're bringing freedom to anyone with a parcel.

At InPost UK, we're building an unparalleled group of talent that's committed to help us power our mission to reshape the way parcels move, and redefine eCommerce logistics. Our team is packed full of top-notch experts in e-commerce, technology, scale-up growth, sustainability, logistics and supply chain. We're a passionate bunch with high ambition - we collaborate, innovate, support each other, and leave egos at the door.

About the role:

As a

Merchant Analyst

, you'll play a critical role in driving InPost's commercial performance by transforming data into actionable insights.

You'll analyse merchant portfolios, sales performance, and pipeline activity to uncover opportunities, identify risks, and inform strategic decisions across the Commercial team. Working closely with Sales, Account Management, and Marketing, you'll help shape how InPost engages and grows its merchant base.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves turning complex data into clear recommendations that drive measurable impact.

What you'll be doing:

Commercial Analysis & Reporting

Analyse merchant portfolio performance -- including volume trends, revenue, retention, and engagement. Monitor and report on pipeline activity, deal conversion rates, and commercial KPIs. Build dashboards and visualisations that track key metrics and performance indicators.

Insights & Recommendations

Identify performance drivers and areas for growth or improvement within the merchant base. Translate complex data into concise, actionable insights for commercial stakeholders. Support quarterly business reviews and strategic planning with data-driven recommendations.

Collaboration & Enablement

Partner with Sales and Account Management teams to inform targeting, segmentation, and prioritisation strategies. Work closely with Marketing to measure campaign impact and optimise merchant engagement. Support leadership with ad-hoc analysis, forecasting, and performance deep-dives.

Process & Data Optimisation

Ensure data integrity across CRM, data platforms and reporting systems (e.g., Salesforce, Databricks, Power BI). Help design and improve data models and processes for consistent, scalable reporting. Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial analytics tools and frameworks.

What we need from you:

We're looking for people who are ready for a fast paced environment, get their kicks out of problem solving and can balance getting today's stuff done, whilst building for the future. We're looking for people with drive and natural curiosity - who want to do things differently. And do them brilliantly.

Experience in

data analysis, commercial analytics, or business intelligence

, ideally within e-commerce, logistics, or tech. Strong analytical skills with experience using

Excel, SQL,

Python, Power BI. Comfortable working with large, complex datasets and translating them into meaningful insights. Excellent communicator -- able to tell the story behind the numbers and influence non-technical audiences. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and driven by curiosity and impact. Collaborative mindset -- you enjoy working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and strategy teams.
