WORKING PATTERN

: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at our Leeds hub.

We're on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we shape finance for good. We're focusing on the future--investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone, including you!

If this role were a product, it'd be a best-seller. We're on the hunt for a Merchant Shopping Portal Senior Manager to lead the go-to-market of a shopping portal to support our Embedded Finance plans.

This isn't about building another affiliate site--it's about crafting something uniquely Lloyds, blending insight, customer experience, and commercial nous to help people find what they want, at the right price, and make it worth their while.

We're not looking for someone who wants to maintain the status quo. We want a builder, a scaler, a merchant whisperer, and a customer champion. Someone who knows how to make shopping portals sing, drive revenue through affiliate links and ad space, and create experiences that customers come back to again and again. If you've ever said " I want to build something that matters" and meant it--this might be for you.

Want to hear more?

You'll lead the development and launch of the Embedded Finance shopping portal proposition which offers a rewarding shopping experience for customers. You will:

Develop a shopping experience that's true to Lloyds--trusted, smart, and customer-first. Drive revenue through affiliate partnerships, merchant commissions, and ad space sales. Engage merchants with compelling value propositions, powered by our data and insights. Understand customers--what they want, what they love, and what they'll come back for. Collaborate deeply with the Loyalty and Rewards team to align on data, offers, and customer journeys.
Your key accountabilities will include:

Owning the go-to-market strategy for the Embedded Finance shopping portal, from concept to launch and beyond. Building and managing merchant relationships, ensuring we deliver value on both sides of the marketplace. Collaborating with Customer Success, Experience Design, Marketing, and Loyalty and Rewards to shape the customer journey. Using Lloyds data to inform offer design, merchant targeting, and customer engagement strategies. Working with tech and product teams to ensure the portal is scalable, secure, and seamless. Championing the customer voice, ensuring the experience is intuitive, rewarding, and worth the time of day. Rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in--whether it's delving into data, writing a merchant pitch, or leading a sprint planning session.

About you

Deep experience in shopping portals, affiliate marketing, and ecommerce monetisation. Proven track record of scaling digital propositions that deliver ROI. Strong understanding of merchant needs in the ecommerce space--what makes them tick, what makes them stay. Sharp insight into customer behaviour--what drives engagement, loyalty, and repeat spend. Comfortable working in a startup-style environment--fast-paced, ambiguous, and full of possibility. Commercially savvy, creatively curious, and not afraid to challenge the norm.
And more generally, you:

Think big, act fast, and deliver with purpose. Communicate clearly, kindly, and with conviction. Love solving problems and making things better. Know when to lead, when to listen, and when to laugh. Want to build something that makes a difference. Believe in Team more than 'I'.

About working for us

Our focus is to ensure we are inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity, or culture. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. And it is why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We are disability confident. So, if you would like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

So, if you are excited by the thought of becoming part of our team, get in touch.

We would love to hear from you!

At Lloyds Banking Group, we're driven by a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper. Across the Group, our colleagues are focused on making a difference to customers, businesses and communities. With us you'll have a key role to play in shaping the financial services of the future, whilst the scale and reach of our Group means you'll have many opportunities to learn, grow and develop.

We keep your data safe. So, we'll only ever ask you to provide confidential or sensitive information once you have formally been invited along to an interview or accepted a verbal offer to join us which is when we run our background checks. We'll always explain what we need and why, with any request coming from a trusted Lloyds Banking Group person.

We're focused on creating a values-led culture and are committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve. Together we're building a truly inclusive workplace where all of our colleagues have the opportunity to make a real difference.
