MESOL Teacher
Yorkshire English School is a British Council and ASIC accredited language school in the centre of Huddersfield, near the railway station. We are looking for talented, professional and enthusiastic MESOL/ESOL teachers with at least a GCSE level of maths, who can deliver our MESOL course (Maths with English for Speakers of Other Languages), aimed at students whose first language is not English. Starting from 23rd September 2025, we are looking for a teacher for a 12 week contract.
The teacher will be required to commit to 5 hours per week, split over 2 days per week (2.5 hours per day).

Additionally, we are also looking for cover teachers to help out when required. This can include pre-planned cover and also emergency cover, for which local teachers are especially welcome to apply; for the right candidate, there is the possibility of a permanent position. Starting pay is determined based on qualifications and experience.

Applicants must:

have a

relevant qualification

have at least a

GCSE level of maths

, or else demonstrable qualification or experience in teaching maths
have an

in-date DBS (enhanced) or be willing to get one

currently

live within a reasonable travelling distance of Huddersfield

centre
