Responsibilities
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems.
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns.
Use hand tools and power tools to perform repairs, adjustments, and assembly tasks.
Support troubleshooting activities to diagnose mechanical faults accurately.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs carried out.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with team members to optimise operational efficiency and minimise downtime.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of various mechanical systems and components.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their technical skills within a dynamic industrial setting.
Ensuring vehicles are thoroughly examined and reporting orally/in writing on general conditions of vehicle with emphasis on customer safety and satisfaction
Keeping work areas clean and tidy, well organised and safe from hazards to health and safety
MET requirements
Must have previous MET experience in a Bodyshop setting
Demonstrate a positive, right first-time attitude
Show a great team player mentally
Work to a very high standard and a high level of accuracy
Be aware of health and safety in the workplace#
A full driving licences is necessary
IMI, ATA accreditation will be a bonus but not necessary
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 17.00-25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
