This role involves working with a range of materials--particularly
aluminium sheet
and
steel tube
--to produce high-quality components that meet precise engineering specifications. A good understanding of basic mathematics and the ability to read engineering drawings is essential.
Attention to detail is critical.
Responsibilities
Fabricate metal assemblies, structures, and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Operate tube laser cutting equipment, including loading and unloading materials.
Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and processes.
Troubleshoot equipment or material issues as needed.
Qualifications
Proven experience in laser cutting and general fabrication, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles.
Experience with aluminium fabrication techniques is highly desirable.
Competent mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of working both independently and within a team.
