Options of Contract & PAYE Available to right candidates. Starts also flexible

Location: Orbis Engineering - Aberdeen . 10 minutes on outskirts

Job Summary


We are seeking skilled Fabricator/Welders to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for fabricating and welding components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards and safety protocols are maintained.

Orbis manufacture various products, ranging from DNV offshore Modules, Subsea Structures, skids, platforms, and subsea tooling. The majority of our clients are within the oil and gas sector, therefore quality workmanship and experience is paramount.

This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, as well as the ability to work with various materials and tools.

Duties



Fabricate metal components using welding techniques such as stick welding and MIG welding. Assemble parts and structures according to engineering drawings and specifications. Operate hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal equipment safely and efficiently. Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to improve fabrication processes and resolve any issues that arise during production.

Skills



Proficient in welding techniques, particularly stick welding. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings. Experience in fabricating metal components and assembling structures. Competence in using hand tools and power tools effectively. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Familiarity with sheet metal work is advantageous.
Schedule:

Monday to Friday Overtime Some Weekends
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 800.00-1,250.00 per week
