Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of metal fabrication processes, including welding and assembly techniques. This role requires the ability to work with various materials, primarily mild steel, and utilise both hand and power tools effectively. The Metal Fabricator will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality production standards while adhering to safety protocols.

Duties



Fabricate metal components according to specifications and drawings including but not limited to: Gates, railings, handrails and metal staircases. On-site erecting of fabricated components. On-site repairs at various locations including schools, public buildings and marine environments. Assemble and weld components using MIG and MMA welding techniques and other methods where required. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently in the fabrication process. Conduct basic maths calculations to ensure accurate measurements and cuts. Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet company standards. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication.

Qualifications



Proven experience in metal fabrication. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations are essential. . Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to maintaining safety standards at all times.

Pay: 16.38 per hour
