Job Title:

Metal Finisher

Overview:

A Metal Finisher is responsible for preparing and finishing metal surfaces to meet specific design, functional, and aesthetic requirements. This role involves working with various tools and techniques to clean, polish, grind, and treat metal components, ensuring they meet quality standards for appearance and durability.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform finishing operations such as grinding, sanding, polishing, and buffing on metal parts. Inspect metal surfaces for defects and ensure high-quality finishes. Operate hand tools, power tools, and finishing machinery safely and efficiently. Apply protective coatings or treatments as required. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Collaborate with design and fabrication teams to ensure accurate execution of metalwork. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Perform quality control checks throughout the finishing process.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in metal finishing or a related trade (e.g., fabrication, welding). Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to read and understand CAD drawings and technical specifications. Familiarity with various metals and finishing techniques. Good manual dexterity and physical stamina. Knowledge of safety procedures and proper handling of tools and materials.

Work Environment:

Metal Finishers typically work in workshops, manufacturing facilities, or on-site at construction or installation projects. The role may involve standing for long periods and handling heavy materials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
