We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming raw materials into high-quality metal components through precise fabrication and welding techniques. Responsibilities
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
Operate welding equipment, including MIG/MMA welding techniques, to join metal components accurately.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal parts.
Perform precise measurements using basic maths skills to ensure correct dimensions and tolerances.
Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication process to maintain standards.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products or subassemblies.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
Proven experience in metal fabrication, with a strong background in welding techniques.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.
Knowledge of sheet metal work, assembly processes, and mechanical principles.
Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Relevant certifications or training in welding or fabrication are desirable but not essential.
