Metering Engineer

to join our expert

Commissioning Team

and help deliver reliable, high-quality water services to our clients and communities.



As a Metering Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of water flow measurement--installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of water meters, including ultrasonic and probe types. You'll travel across the South East and beyond, supporting major clients like

South East Water

,

Thames Water

, and

Southern Water

.

Key Responsibilities





Installing and commissioning temporary and permanent metering systems Conducting detailed site surveys and risk assessments Diagnosing faults using specialist test equipment Collaborating with project teams and clients to ensure smooth operations Maintaining accurate records and stock levels Ensuring water quality and safety standards are upheld

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise





Proven experience in water meter installation and maintenance Familiarity with ultrasonic and probe metering technologies Strong IT skills for data collection and reporting A proactive, safety-first mindset--especially in confined spaces Flexibility to travel and respond to short-notice fieldwork A full, clean UK driving licence

Bonus if you have (or are willing to train for):

EUSR Water Hygiene & SHEA Water NRSWA certification Confined Space Entry qualification Valve Operations (including CALM Networks)
