Job Description
Looking for a secure, hands-on field role in the energy sector? This is a great opportunity to join a growing team supporting smart meter maintenance, field engineering and energy network performance across London and East Anglia.
This role is focused on fault-finding and smart meter troubleshooting, no installation work. Full training is provided, making it ideal for anyone looking to start or progress a career in utilities, smart metering or field engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair smart meter faults
- Carry out SIM swaps, aerial replacements and comms hub resets
- Restore no-read / no-data smart meters to full functionality
- Replace IHDs, backup cells and comms modules
- Complete HAN/WAN testing and improve signal strength
- Update job information on a handheld device (PDA)
- Deliver excellent customer service during field visits
- Experience in a field-based or customer-facing role
- Confident using mobile technology and handheld devices
- Able to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- 27,500 salary + annual performance bonus
- Company transport for all field work
- PDA, uniform and all equipment provided
