Experience in a management role in MHE reliability engineering or related field Proven track record of leading large-scale reliability improvement initiatives Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams Willingness to travel up to 40% for strategic meetings and site visits

The Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Reliability Engineering Manager is a key leadership position within our Global Reliability Maintenance and Engineering (RME) team. This role is responsible for driving strategic initiatives, managing a team of Reliability Engineers, and optimizing MHE performance across our global network. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and people management skills to enhance equipment reliability, extend asset lifecycles, and reduce maintenance costs.



Key job responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Team Management

Lead and develop a team of reliability engineering experts focused on MHE assets Drive the implementation of the 3-Year Plans (3YP) for MHE reliability across the organization Oversee Big Rock initiatives including Continuous Improvement/Automated Solutions, Keep The Lights On/End Of Life, Strategic Maintenance, Central Rebuild Warehouse, and Upskilling for MHE assets globally Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align reliability strategies with overall business objectives Participate in and lead strategic planning sessions, including travel to key locations such as corporate headquarters and fulfillment centers

Technical Expertise

Spearhead the development and standardization of maintenance strategies and best practices Drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision making and collaboration with Original Equipment Manufacturers, Integrators and Vendors Oversee complex industrial engineering projects and process improvement initiatives Conduct and guide root cause analysis for major equipment downtime events Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in MHE reliability

Project Management

Manage multiple concurrent projects, including budget oversight and schedule adherence Anticipation of future barriers or roadblocks Obtain Stakeholder buy-in for project approvals and field adoption Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for network-level equipment performance Utilize Asset Performance Management (APM) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) tools Understand, communicate and drive progress of multiple project phase gates Monitor and report on the progress of BIG Rock initiatives and their impact on organizational goals

Stakeholder Management and Communication

Represent the MHE Reliability team in leadership meetings and strategic planning sessions Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of reliability initiatives with business needs Communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences Manage relationships with key vendors and subcontractors

Data Analytics & Performance Optimization

Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for network-level equipment portfolio performance Analyze failure data to drive equipment reliability improvements

Master's degree preferred or experience in an Amazon RME leadership role.
