Job Description

R&D Partners is seeking a Microbiological Technologist to join a biotech organization in the UK, on a 12-month contract. In this role, you will perform a variety of biological and microbiological activities while ensuring compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). You will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and support investigations, projects, and regulatory inspections.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.
Responsibilities:
Perform microbiological testing and monitoring with a focus on high-quality standards.
Work independently in your area of expertise, either on-site or at other locations as needed.
Develop and document new or updated laboratory methods and procedures.
Train team members on specific tasks as directed by the Team Manager.
Create and manage documentation, including methods, protocols, and reports.
Support investigations and projects within your area of specialization.
Represent the department in major site projects and liaise with other teams such as Production and Quality Assurance.
Prepare reports and analyze monitoring data as required.
Assist with audit readiness and regulatory inspections.
Contribute to routine monitoring programs and ensure compliance with pharmaceutical microbiology standards.
Key Skills and Requirements:
Knowledge in at least one area of pharmaceutical microbiology, such as finished product testing, endotoxin, sterility, microbial limit testing, sterilization, biological indicators, microbial identification, lab equipment validation, or method validation.
Understanding of pharmaceutical industry operations and regulatory requirements.
Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in IT tools and software.
Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Mathematics and English.
