As a Microcement Fitter, you will be responsible for installing high-quality micro-cement finishes across a variety of residential and commercial environments. Working both independently and as part of a skilled team, you will deliver precise, decorative surface finishes on floors, walls, worktops, and bespoke features.
The successful candidate will have proven experience working with micro-cement or similar decorative coating systems, with strong practical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of surface preparation, application methods, and finishing processes. A commitment to safety, quality, and exceptional workmanship is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces including sanding, priming, levelling, and repairing substrates to ensure proper adhesion.
Mix, tint, and apply micro-cement products accurately in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Install decorative finishes on floors, walls and bespoke features.
Apply sealing and protective coatings to ensure durability, waterproofing, and long-term performance.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during preparation and application.
Maintain consistent quality and finish throughout all stages of the micro-cement installation process.
Ensure the working area is clean, organised, and safe at all times
Communicate effectively with site supervisors, clients, and the wider team to deliver projects on schedule.
Follow all relevant health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE, materials handling, and site protocols.
Carry out touch-ups, repairs, and maintenance of previously installed micro-cement surfaces as required.
Requirements
Proven experience in micro-cement installation or decorative plastering/coating systems (essential).
Strong practical skills with excellent attention to detail and finish quality.
Good understanding of preparation, layering, curing times, and moisture control.
Ability to work on multiple surfaces including floors, walls and vertical applications.
Willingness to learn as the ideal candidate will be open to working with resins also
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel to different sites when required.

Desirable Skills
Experience with polished plaster, resin coatings, or concrete-look finishes.
Knowledge of sanding systems, dust-extraction tools, and surface-prep machinery.
Ability to read and follow technical drawings or job specifications.
Experience using sealers, primers, and specialist protective coatings.
