Microscopy Analyst

A leading CRO within the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical sector that supports client drug discovery research is looking for an industry experienced Microscopy Analyst / Microscopist.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Microscopy Analyst, you will dive into a diverse array of studies, focusing on the imaging and interpretation of drug delivery systems and healthcare products. Your role will involve performing bespoke GXP analysis, including method testing, sample feasibility assessments, method development, and test method validations following ICH guidelines.

Due to the variety of projects and samples the desirable analyst will be someone who is scientific problem-solving and a logical, lateral thinking approach.

Qualifications and Experience:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Degree (BSc / MSc / PhD) in a scientific discipline such as Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related life science (Essential)
  • Industrial experience in microscopy techniques, including one or more of the following:
  • Light microscopy
  • Fluorescence Light Microscopy
  • TEM: Negative staining and biological processing embedding/sectioning
  • Cryo-TEM
  • A proven history of working in a GxP regulatory environment (Advantageous)
  • technical report writing
