Salary: Grade 1 - 2

3700.00 FTE

Hours per week / Weeks per year: 5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year



About the role



The Midday Assistant will be responsible for:

- supervising activities and maintaining the health, safety, welfare and safeguarding of pupils during the midday break

- maintaining confidentiality at all times in respect of school-related matters

monitoring pupil behaviour, discouraging anti-social and poor behaviour and dealing with incidents of inappropriate behaviour in line with the Academy's Behaviour Policy

dealing with minor injuries (having completed a one day first aid course), providing emotional support and liaising with first aiders and management as appropriate

assisting children at meal times, encouraging good table manners

setting up the dining area, cleaning, clearing, sweeping and putting away
