MIDDAY ASSISTANT - Start Date - 3 November 2025 (or ASAP thereafter, subject to DBS and reference clearance)
Band 1, Points 2 3 (24,413 - 24,796 FTE), Pro Rata: 5,051 - 5,130 per annum
Hours: 1.5 hours per day over lunchtime (11.45am-1.15pm), Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per week, , Term Time only

Due to a vacancy, we are looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic Midday Assistant to join our friendly team who oversee lunchtime activities in the Dining Hall and outdoor areas. This is a term-time only role (pay is made monthly across all 12 months of the year), and annual leave is taken across School holiday periods. Our Midday Assistants benefit from access to the school's extensive Wellbeing offer and membership of the generous Local Government Pensions Scheme.
The successful candidate will need to:
supervise children aged 4 -11 over their lunchtime in the Dining Hall
support and encourage play and games in the playground, interacting with the children
be a strong team player who can work flexibly and collaboratively as part of the wider team of Midday Assistants
have a friendly and positive outlook and enjoy spending time with children
follow and implement all School policies
administer basic first aid (training provided)
have good communication skills to enable clear liaison with both the children and staff
undertake appropriate training and CPD throughout the year, as required
