ABOUT THE ROLE




We're looking for a sharp, detail-driven Middleweight Digital Designer to join our Creative team to cover a 10-week sabbatical cover from August to October 2025.


You'll play a key role in shaping our visual identity across email, retail, print, packaging and digital channels - bringing concepts to life with clarity, consistency, and craft. You'll think strategically and execute brilliantly, ensuring every touchpoint connects our community to the sea.

Requirements



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Email Design & Build: Create high-quality brand and commercial emails that are visually strong and performance-led. Digital Asset Creation: Design assets for the website, social channels, and paid media campaigns. Print & Packaging Design: Produce design and artwork for packaging, printed materials, and marketing collateral. Retail & POS: Design in-store signage and messaging; support brand consistency across retail environments. Brand Consistency: Ensure all creative output aligns with Finisterre's visual identity and tone. Process Improvement: Contribute to improving creative workflows, systems, and execution across the team. Full Project Ownership: Take work from concept through to final delivery, maintaining a high standard throughout.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO FINISTERRE



Strong Design Skills: A portfolio that shows confident, consistent design across email, digital, print, and packaging. Email Expertise: Experience designing and building emails that balance brand storytelling with commercial goals. Working knowledge of Ometria or industry equivalent. Technical: Technically Perficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and practical skills in HTML and CSS. Attention to Detail: A high level of precision in layout, typography, and artwork setup. Proactive Mindset: Comfortable taking initiative, owning tasks, and pushing work forward independently. Cross-Channel Thinking: Ability to work across digital and physical brand environments with a clear understanding of audience and context. Collaborative Approach: Enjoy working closely with marketing, retail, and product teams to bring ideas to life. Alignment with Brand Values: A genuine interest in sustainability, functional design, and the sea.

We are offering a 10-week, full time, fixed term contract. This role will be based hybrid at our Headquarters at Wheal Kitty, St Agnes, Cornwall. We'll invest in you with a competitive salary, circa 28,000 - 30,000 depending on your skills and experience.
