We design and build high-performing websites and take pride in creating great client experiences from the very first conversation right through to delivery and ongoing support.

We're in an exciting growth phase, and we're looking for a Mid-weight Designer ready to take creative ownership, push quality standards, and play a key role in shaping how our design offering evolves.

About the role



As a Mid-weight Digital Designer at Upperdog, you'll play a key role in crafting engaging, user-centred website designs and digital creative with thoughtful layouts, strong visual communication, and design work that supports performance. You'll bring ideas to life across web, landing pages and campaign assets with attention to detail and consistency throughout the full journey.

You'll collaborate closely with our senior UX designer, developers and project managers. Contributing to planning conversations, presenting your thinking clearly and helping shape solutions that work beautifully in delivery. We work openly and collaboratively, so you'll be involved from early concept stages through to QA and optimisation once sites go live.

Our team values continuous improvement, you'll share ideas, learn from others, and help raise the bar for how we approach visual impact, usability and brand expression across our work.

This is a great role for someone with 2-3+ years' experience who is ready to step up by taking more creative ownership, strengthening UX thinking and designing projects you can truly be proud of.

About you



You'll enjoy and excel here if you:

Have 2 - 3+ years of digital design experience, ideally within an agency Love crafting clean, intuitive designs with strong fundamentals in layout, typography and UX Are proactive, organised and confident taking responsibility for your own deliverables Communicate clearly, whether presenting to clients or collaborating internally Want to keep learning and pushing your craft from interactive thinking to content structure Have a portfolio showing polished website layouts, digital campaign assets and strong visual storytelling

Key responsibilities



Design responsive website layouts, landing pages and UI components in Figma Create digital campaign assets including PPC and social ads, email templates and marketing creative Contribute to UX discovery, content structure, moodboards and creative research Work closely with developers to ensure designs are translated accurately and effectively into build Participate in client discussions when needed, presenting work clearly and confidently Support on QA reviews for projects in build to maintain consistency and polish Help populate and structure content within CMS platforms Take ownership of quality and uphold visual standards across all deliverables Bring fresh ideas, inspiration and current design trends into the team

Skills & experience



Required

A strong portfolio demonstrating well-crafted digital design work Proficiency in Figma (Adobe Creative Suite also beneficial) Confident managing your own tasks and priorities Strong communication skills and comfortable presenting creative thinking Solid understanding of UI and UX best practices Experience working in a digital design environment (agency experience preferred)

Nice to have



Experience working with WordPress CMS Knowledge of HTML/CSS or a curiosity about how websites are built Experience producing conversion-focused design or CRO experimentation Interest in analytics, data-driven design or broader digital strategy Copywriting ability to support visual messaging Awareness of project commercials such as time, scope and value Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools as part of your workflow

Your design work is delivered to a consistently high standard that is visually aligned, user-friendly and technically executable Clients feel informed, supported and excited by the creative direction you lead or contribute to Developers are able to translate your designs smoothly into build thanks to clear communication and well-structured files You manage your own workload effectively and deliver to agreed timeframes You actively contribute to improving visual quality, design process and creative thinking across the team You take growing ownership of projects, from early concept through to QA and optimisation post-launch You keep learning, embracing feedback and elevating your design craft with every project You're known as a collaborative team player who brings fresh thinking and positive energy to the studio
