About the role
The main purpose of this role is to work on a variety of show home designs for major house builders across the UK, incorporating a range of styles, whilst spacially planning to maximize the client's housetypes. A designer is required to manage the client's budget and expectations throughout the design process, as well as supporting and training the wider team with their skills and knowledge in these areas.
About You
Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Extensive experience working as an interior designer, ideally within the show home sector.
Experience of managing project budgets and deadlines.
The ability to manage and delegate to various teams involved in the project.
Experience of spacial planning and scaling.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing business requirements and support the business through operational changes.
Have the ability to drive creativity and inspiration both in yourself and in others.
Have a keen eye for colour, proportion and balance whilst maintaining an interest in changing interior design trends.
Energetic, flexible, and able to operate both independently as well as contribute as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage your own time effectively whilst often working on a number of schemes at the same time.
Ability to communicate effectively across the business.
Desirable Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Relevant creative qualifications (eg university degree/diploma).
Experience using Vectorworks (3D Package), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop in design) and Microsoft Office Package.
Previous experience of working in a creative environment.
Previous experience of working in the interior design or construction industry.
