Now, we're looking for an experienced

Midweight Developer

to join our team and help us build, optimise, and maintain websites and digital products that elevate our clients' brands.

The Role

As our Midweight Developer, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining websites across a range of platforms, with a focus on WordPress and Shopify.

You'll bring strong front-end development skills, a solid understanding of UX best practices, and the ability to collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and clients.

You must have at least 3 years of agency experience. Please note, applications without this experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development & Maintenance

Build responsive websites and landing pages primarily in WordPress (including Gutenberg and popular page builders) and Shopify. Implement custom themes, templates, and functionality tailored to client needs. Maintain and update existing websites, ensuring they remain secure, up-to-date, and performant. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.

Front-End Development

Convert designs (Figma, Adobe XD) into pixel-perfect, accessible, and optimised HTML/CSS/JavaScript. Implement animations, transitions, and interactivity where required. Optimise websites for speed and SEO best practices.

Collaboration & Client Support

Work closely with designers, project managers, and marketing teams to bring concepts to life. Communicate directly with clients to gather requirements, provide technical recommendations, and deliver solutions. Support clients with technical queries and website training where needed.

Continuous Improvement

Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies, trends, and best practices. Proactively suggest improvements to processes, tooling, and workflows. Contribute to documentation and internal knowledge sharing.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 3 years of professional experience working in a digital agency environment (essential). Applications without this experience will not be considered.

Solid experience building and maintaining WordPress websites (custom themes, plugins, ACF, WooCommerce). Experience with Shopify development (theme customisation, Liquid templating). Strong HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS), and vanilla JavaScript skills. Familiarity with PHP for WordPress development. Working knowledge of version control (Git). Experience integrating third-party APIs. Good understanding of website performance optimisation and technical SEO. Knowledge of accessibility best practices. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills. A portfolio or examples of websites you've built.

Desirable Skills

Experience with headless CMS solutions or JAMstack (e.g., Next.js, Gatsby). Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap. Basic knowledge of server management and DNS. Understanding of UX principles and conversion optimisation. Experience working in an agency environment.
