MIG Welder

Overview

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to fabricate and assemble components from sheet metal. This role is essential for ensuring high-quality production standards and maintaining safety protocols in our workshop environment.

Duties

Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards. Assemble and fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and project requirements. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete welding tasks. Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and maintain a clean, organised workspace. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any malfunctions or issues promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in MIG welding; additional skills in TIG welding are advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Proficiency in basic maths for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes. Experience working with sheet metal is preferred. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. A commitment to adhering to health and safety guidelines within the workplace.
