Production Mig Welder

We're looking for MIG Welders to join our team manufacturing machinery on a full-time basis.

Description

As part of a team of welders working in a well equipped fabrication shop, candidates will be manufacturing machinery to technical drawing; welding mild steel assemblies using MIG welding between 2-15mm thickness to produce parts for finishing and assembly. In line with this components and steel will need to be moved about the site via fork-lift or overhead crane and time will need to be recorded onto the company MRP system.

Minimum 1 year welding or fabrication experience.

Duties

- Manufacture products to technical drawing
- Manage goods in/out in line with above

- Record time on Company MRP system

Skills/Qualifications

- Previous welding experience or mechanical engineering experience
- Forklift licence advantageous (however training will be provided as required)

- Overhead crane licence advantageous (however training will be provided as required)

Remuneration

- Hourly rate, paid monthly. Rate variable on experience
- 32 days holiday
- The company operates a NEST pension scheme on which the candidate will be automatically enrolled if eligible
- 40 hour working week, Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-2.30pm.

Chapman Machinery Ltd design and manufacture machinery, focusing on the ATV attachments sector. Producing over 1200 machines per annum with all manufacturing done on site, from sheet steel through to finished product leaving the factory. We distribute out products throughout the world, with over 60% of our production going for export.
